- How often should I visit for teeth cleaning and check-up?
We agree with the recommendation of the American Dental Association which suggests visiting the dentist every six months for an evaluation and professional dental cleaning. Some patients may need more frequent treatment to achieve and maintain optimal oral health. Your dentist will outline a plan that is right for you.
- Do you perform root canals?
Yes, our dentists perform root canals in our Northborough dental office.
- Do you perform tooth extractions?
Dr. Gauthier will perform tooth extractions including wisdom teeth removal. We may do the tooth extraction in our Northborough dental office or refer you to a nearby dental specialist.
- Do you offer dental implants?
Apex Dental offers complete services for dental implants. Dr. Gauthier may place the implant himself or in many cases, coordinate treatment with an oral surgeon or periodontist who will perform the surgery.
- What do I do if I have a dental emergency?
If you have a dental emergency, contact our office for further instruction. If your emergency is taking place during normal office hours, we will do our best to see you as quickly as possible. For emergencies that occur after hours or during the weekend, contact our office for an emergency number to reach the dentist. We will get in touch with you quickly to recommend a course of treatment.
- Do you offer cosmetic dentistry?
Yes, Dr. Gauthier is one of the most experienced cosmetic dentists in the Worcester area. We offer a number of cosmetic dental procedures including teeth whitening, porcelain veneers and cosmetic bonding.
- Do you have evening or weekend hours?
Yes, as a family dental office we cater towards the busy schedules of families and working professionals.

Wednesday: 7am – 7pm
Thursday: 7am – 4pm
Friday: 9am – 4pm
Saturday: 9am – 4pm (By Appointment Only)
- Should I bring anything with me to my first appointment?
Please download our patient forms and bring them with you along with your dental insurance information to your first appointment. If you are visiting our office for a second opinion or being referred by another dentist, please contact our office to discuss any medical records we may want copies of.
- Do you accept dental insurance?
We work with most dental insurance companies as a non-participating provider. We will take care of all of the necessary billing and claims filing for reimbursement. Common dental insurance companies that we work with on our client’s behalf are: Delta Dental, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Dental Blue, Cigna Dental, Met Life Dental, United Healthcare Dental Insurance and Guardian Dental Insurance. If you have specific questions about your dental insurance, contact our office.
- Are you accepting new patients?
